Heroes

Today is Memorial Day. Along with Veteran's Day, it's a day to honor those who serve in our military. My dad was in the Navy in World War II. He didn't talk much about it because it was a painful and life-changing experience, but he did tell us some stories as we were growing up. Roland's dad served in the Navy during WWII as well. I'm very proud that my dad served in the Navy and today, I honor his memory and Roland's dad, and whatever sacrifices they had to endure. My dad survived the war and went on to live a long life. He died in 1990 and I miss him. I love you, Daddy.
